Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in the Canoga Park area. Across California, 582 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 60 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Canoga Park area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Mega Power Electric Inc. is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

I just got off the phone with a receptionist who clearly didnt know what she was talking about. She was very rude to me and was not helpful at all. Basically our whole 15 minute conversation she said I was wrong and told her false information for a big job I had. I am doubtful that they actually have 5 stars unless they were bought.

Terrible experience. Their communication was awful and the quote I received was not accurate on 2 different occasions.

Excellent knowledge of solar and battery backup systems. Reliable and service oriented. Gets the job done right and at the price quoted. My "go to" guy when it comes to solar systems

Gary and his team were amazing! They answer the phone when you call them! They came out fast and repaired the damaged equipment. Will be using them whenever I have an issue. Many thanks.

Gary and his team did an outstanding job installing our solar panels and battery system. From start to finish, the process was smooth, efficient, and professional. The work was completed quickly and without any issues. After experiencing several PG&E outages, we can confidently say that the system has performed exceptionally well. We are very pleased with the quality of the installation and would gladly recommend Gary and his team.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“served communities across California since 2006. In today’s economy, that can only…”

  • Years in business

“and businesses across the state, with over 15 years of excellence in solar installation…”

  • Insured

“unhappy! We guarantee it. Licensed & Insured Our team is fully licensed, insured,…”

  • Licensed

“leave you unhappy! We guarantee it. Licensed & Insured Our team is fully licensed,…”

Its website also mentions financing, warranty and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
