Its one and two star share is 14 points above the typical installer in the Canoga Park area. Across California, 257 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 31 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Canoga Park area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★85%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Canoga Park area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Design My Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Named incorrect price and attempted to charge more by sending a second contract without telling me about the price change. Customer service was rude and saying I don't know how solar works... I don't need to know how solar works to know …

In entered into contract with this company back in April of this year. John, the sales rep was very attentive and answered all my questions. However, pressured me into signing all documents ASAP. Based on the initial interaction I thought …

It was a huge mistake hiring LA Solar. They were super responsive and organized during the sales process and then it all goes down hill once the contract is signed and they have your money. I won’t bore you with the details of what a mess …

LA Solar is absolutely fantastic. Very competitive pricing, good communicators, and proactive to the max! Helen M, the saleslady, was one of the best I have ever worked with. Trust me, you will be very happy with the price, service, and quality. These guys are the company you want to go with for your solar project!

LA Solar Group is the best in their field. They have experienced technicians who answered all my questions and gave me an estimate on the savings of my solar panel. After the installation from the 1st month I have stared noticing the big difference in my electricity bill. It is really worth it!

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
