Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Los Angeles area. Across California, 773 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 120 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Los Angeles area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★15%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Los Angeles area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Discovery is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Solar Price Discovery feels like a terrible scam. They will ask for a meeting and then waste your time with too much information and then refuse to give you a quote without a "site survey". They say a lot of things about something being the "best" on the market, which is simply an opinion. They treat you like a child as they force you to sit through their presentation. Their reviews are of employees themselves for example Yoan Zagury. This is the worst experience in my search for solar. Sketchy and unprofessional. STAY AWAY!

So far so good seems like a great company great phone service as soon as I called they connected me with the company and had a three-way call to solve issues. Then they sent their technician out after 6 o’clock the same day he figured everything out and started the process for my new inverter. Thanks I really appreciate the office and the technician great work.

Thankful for my instant response from Lisa and awesome repair service from Mario, they quickly diagnosed my issue and fixed my solar situation expertly and efficiently.

Hello!! Easily one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor. Everyone was amazing. From the people in the office to the guys that showed up to install the system. Mario and Chris did an amazing job explaining the installation to me. Would definitely recommend!! Top notch service!!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“what they were doing. Excellent financing options! Thanks again! Claudia B.”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
