Its one and two star share is 9 points above the typical installer in the Freehold area. Across New Jersey, 76 of the 237 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 74 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

0% rated 1–2★45%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Freehold area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. NJ Solar Power, LLC is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I have had an issue with my panel since December. I have asked several times for the issue to be addressed and nothing has happened. I keep getting lip service. Horrible customer service. Once that have you, you are forgotten. I was also foolish enough to refer a neighbor. Referral $ is also nonexistent. Find another company.

I'll keep this short. I worked with this company to come up with a detailed solar installation plan. I paid a $1,000 deposit. They cancelled the installation without really giving a reason. They refuse to refund the deposit. I don't think this is an elaborate scam to steal people's deposits, but honestly I cannot be sure. I guess I will find out when I take them small claims court.

Once they got paid, that was it. Our new roof started leaking and it’s been 3+ months with no fix. All we got were excuses. We’re now filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Don’t expect anything after payment. Would not recommend.

Couldn't have went with a better company! Not only did I get a great Representative from the beginning named Jill, but I also received a new roof. I was the last in my neighborhood to go solar, most of my neighbors went with Sun Purity, and now I know why! 10+ STARS!!

Very happy with my solar installation from NJ Solar Power. From the beginning, Frank was very transparent with expectations and pricing. They worked with me in getting the system I wanted at a very reasonable cost (I shopped around with six other solar installers). Installation was great, no damage to the roof and all conduit was hidden. The main equipment was installed in the basement, away from the environment. Special shout out to Will (from electrical) and Sarah (from the office) who we’re both very open and kept in constant communication with me to keep me updated regarding the results of

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
