Its one and two star share is 9 points above the typical installer in the Woodland Hills area. Across California, 383 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 259 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Woodland Hills area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. NRG Clean Power is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I wish I could leave a good review but sadly my experience has not been good at all. Having solar panels installed in 2023, I decided to install some solar batteries and went with NRG Clean Power at the beginning of 2025. The initial project communication went smoothly and the installation of two Tesla Power Walls was completed by that summer. The final step was city approval which was also to be completed by summer 2025. Unfortunately I am still waiting for NRG to schedule that final approval with the city. It is extremely hard to get a hold of someone and once I do, they give me a date on wh

My experience with NRG Clean Power was mixed. While the equipment itself seems solid, the project suffered from gaps in coordination across many of the stages in the process—sales, engineering, installation, utility submission, and customer support. In addition, a configuration error meant the system was not set up as a true whole-home installation: the monitoring app showed virtually no household energy usage, while only exterior loads (AC, ADU, pergola) registered. This resulted in months of unnecessary PG&E charges and required many hours of work on my part—including calling the battery man

I want to be fair in this review, the sales team was professional, responsive, and very communicative during the early stages of the process (as expected). Unfortunately, once the contract was signed and the project moved into scheduling, delivery, and installation coordination, the experience went downhill fast. The remainder of getting the solar system was marked by poor communication, disorganization, and avoidable mistakes. The first issue started with the delivery of supplies. Despite clear instructions (including directions given directly to the delivery driver with the gate open), the m

I just bought a house with solar. The monitor system was not working properly ( would not connect to WiFi). After a lengthy investigation involving a couple solar companies, I discovered that my system had been installed by NRG Clean Power I sent, on the NRG website , a request for information. The time was around 5pm PDT. After a very short time I received a text from Jonathan who wished to make an appointment for the following morning. I was impressed and advised that I would be available. However, to my surprise, I received a phone call from Daniel at NRG about 15 minutes later. He advised

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions financing and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
