Its one and two star share is 5 points below the typical installer in Escondido. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 41 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Escondido whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Option One Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Option one Solar was a pleasure to work with. Trever did an amazing job installing a new inverter and panel. Natasha was quick at quoting the job and making contact seamless. I would highly recommend this company. Satisfied customer.

I recently had a 31-panel solar system installed along with two EcoFlow battery backup units and a main service panel upgrade. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and kept me informed throughout the project. One thing I really appreciated was that they handled everything, including the electrical work, permitting, installation, and final inspections. The installation looks great, and the battery backup system gives me peace of mind knowing I have power during outages. Before solar, my electric bill was regularly over $600 per month. Sin

As a general contractor, I’ve worked with a lot of subcontractors, and Option One Solar was outstanding. Their pricing was competitive, communication was excellent, and the quality of work exceeded expectations. They installed a 24-panel solar system, home battery, and EV charger for one of my clients, and the entire process went smoothly from start to finish. My client is extremely happy with the results. I highly recommend Option One Solar for anyone looking for a reliable and professional solar company

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“See how much you could save over 25 years with Solar + Battery. City or ZIP…”

Its website also mentions financing, warranty, free estimate, established, licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and X. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
