Its one and two star share is 21 points above the typical installer in the North Highlands area. Across California, 221 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 25 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the North Highlands area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Origin Solar USA is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

These guys never pick up their phones. They prioritize fresh sucker like I was then once installed they forget you even ever existed. Starting with fresh new roofing they left holes everywhere after gutters installed, and not putting any paint on whatsoever after replacing rotten roof. They lied and said i never had gutter guards installed so I could never prove i had em since i never had pictures of them and they threw them all out. After roofing was done, panels were installed and PTO was approved, new panels stopped producing 1 week ago at 0kWh. Now I have to claim for reimbursement through

Origin Solar utilizes cold calls, with "fake" history of previous inquiries regarding their service. I have never sought out a quote from this company and receiving pestering calls from their sales people, whom hang up upon answering their …

I actually don’t want to leave a single star but in this case I will go get my review out there. This company is such a joke. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They have very poor communication, they tell you timeline after timeline and then …

My wife and I have been going back and forth on the idea of Solar for the past several years. I’ve always been an advocate for it based on the amount of electricity that is used by my wife and Daughter. It’s a lot. That being said, we …

My experience with Origin Solar has always been positive. I have had two solar systems installed at my residence. I sincerely wish that I would’ve had Origin Solar installed both of them. Origin made sure that it’s done right the first time. Thinking of having them install a battery for me. 100% behind this company.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
