    Should you go solar? Yes! Should you work with Solectric and SunPower? Not sure. I was initially very happy with my system, then in the second year I noticed some production decline. Did the obvious, washed the panels really well, started paying closer attention to my bill and the data from SunPower. I contacted SunPower customer support they said to reset the system, worked great for a while then production tapered again. Contact customer support, reset the system, goes up, goes back down etc... numerous times. Eventually SunPower starts throwing out other possible issues, all directed at me,

    When I bought my house late in 2024, my goal was to invest in the house to make it super energy efficient and affordable, and solar was central to the plan as I could see where the energy economy was headed. I was dead-on exactly right. The system installed by Solectric in early 2025 was sized exactly right, installed perfectly, and a year later has relieved me of the cost of air conditioning and heating a home as climate change renders Sacramento all but unlivable. Solectric staff advised me well, and I recommend them to anyone looking for smart energy efficiency and independence.
