The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 166 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

One star for only because they gave the estimate in time and were not pushy, but after that everything went downhill, they don’t reply to emails. They don’t want to move forward with installation and literally not following up Note: instead of apologizing for delay in follow up they are now blaming customer. I am putting screenshot of email thread. They have not sent me any updated estimate , nothing was received on 7/17 as the ceo claims in the reply 7/25/25 update: completely false what this guy is saying in replies. I emailed first to Greg, he called me same day and said he will give me upd

Was initially happy with the response time on getting things set up with solar but our brand new roof has since started leaking in less than a year. PSS sent out some of their techs as well as a roofer to inspect and even after the roofer said panels never should've been installed at that pitch, PSS insisted they didn't damage the (again, brand new) roof. They then back tracked to say they saw damage on the roof before it was replaced and then damage coming through on the new roof, but conveniently failed to mention during any part of the process? Really not a great look.

I have attempted to contact this place 10+ times. The first call I was able to get through to someone, speak about the problems I was having and was assured I would be getting a call back from the head of panel servicing, I never received a call. I called back two weeks later and was asked to leave a message, same thing 4-5 more times. I then decided I would attempt email, so I've submitted requests on their website and via their info email address multiple times, still no response back. I was informed during the first call that they were happy to assist with my problem and that I was within t

We had such an excellent experience with Public Service Solar. I started my process with EnergySage and wound up with 4 bids. They were all over the map, but I looked up all the companies, had zoom calls with three of them, and then narrowed it down to Public Service Solar and Infinity Energy. I went with Public Service because they were able to get the job done quickly, and because they had a roofing team as part of their business. They also had the best warranties on everything (roof, work, solar gear). I was also impressed that many of my calls had me talking to the owner/founder of the com

We used Public services solar for our home solar panels and could not be happier with the decision. Our research for best solar installers narrowed it down to Public solar and a few others. From the initial consult to the final inspection we have had real peace of mind. Everything has been upfront and transparent. I would recommend them for your home solar needs!

Positive experience from beginning to end. Consultant was clear about the system and financing options, installation process and timeline. On day of installation, the crew, including the foreman and workers were courteous ,efficient and effective, very professional. Highly recommend this company.

  • competitive pricing 7
  • professional crew 6

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“a lifetime worksmanship warranty, 24/7 energy system monitoring and…”
  • 24/7 availability

“a lifetime worksmanship warranty, 24/7 energy system monitoring and SREC…”
  • Established

“Solar and Panasonic (in business since 1918) are here for you. Will solar panels…”

Its website also mentions financing and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
