Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the St George area. Across Utah, 100 of the 167 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 59 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the St George area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★25%

Each mark is one company we hold in the St George area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Raven Solar Services is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Raven Solar Services installed a new solar system with batteries for our home in Ivins, and we’re really glad we went with them. Our power bill was over $200 a month and always got worse during the summer, so we knew we needed a better long-term solution. We had called a few different solar companies, but Raven was by far the easiest to communicate with and the most helpful through the process. Raul answered our questions, explained everything clearly, and made the whole thing feel simple. Great company for solar installation and battery backup in Ivins.

We had Raven Solar Services come out to our home in Washington City because our solar wasn’t covering as much as we hoped. Raul was really helpful and walked us through what made sense for our setup. They ended up adding battery storage, installing the extra panels we needed, and cleaning the panels we already had. The whole experience felt honest and straightforward, and we’re glad we finally got the system upgraded.

I stopped to chat with Randy with my colleague and certainly enjoyed the experience and the knowledgeable conversation. I can appreciate and Installer, who has a good grip on the industry and their trade. I would absolutely recommend doing business with Raven Solar on multiple levels.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“a longtime St. George resident with over 11 years of experience in the solar industry.”

Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
