Its one and two star share is 6 points below the typical installer in Shafter. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Shafter whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Renaissance Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Finally, taking time to post this. Had a wonderful experience with Renaissance Solar. The customer service was great, they were very easy to get a hold of and did fantastic work. We elected to go with them over a competitor company whose prices were a little bit lower, but had less stellar reviews. We paid a little bit more and got a very quality experience. We’ve had the system up and running for approx 9 months and have had no electricity bill. We are very happy with the purchase of our system. Everything works great with the batteries and we can monitor it all from our cell phones. We love

I couldn’t be happier with my solar installation from Renaissance Solar! Devon Lloyd was incredibly knowledgeable and made the entire process seamless from the initial consultation to the final setup. The savings on my energy bills are already noticeable, and I highly recommend them to anyone going solar.

We recently went solar with Renaissance Solar, and I’m so glad Devon was the one helping us through it. He was super responsive, explained everything without being pushy, and made sure our whole family felt comfortable with the switch. The install went smoothly and everything’s running great. Big thanks to Devon and the crew for making this such a positive experience!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Shafter is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
