Its one and two star share is 8 points above the typical installer in Nevada. Across Nevada, 21 of the 81 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 89 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Purchased a humless system in 2019 from RG electric, with a 20 year warranty. The first 8 months were great. Then the batterys took a dump. Took me fighting tooth and nail to get anyone to answer a phone or even come diagnose the problem. Even had to leave a bad review before the salesman contacted me to get the problem fixed. Fast forward to current. Having problems with inverter shutting off. Made several calls and have made contact with them there has been no resolution. Now when told we will call you tomorrow. That was 3 weeks ago. The communication with RG has been terrible. With the amou

I noticed stains and crack on my roof. I called a roofer to investigate and they basically told me the roof was old, lifespan based on warranty would have been 2000. Somehow these guys couldn’t even figure out my roof was too old for an installation. Emailed to assist in removing the panels so I could fix the roof. Instead I get a response quoting me $250 a panel (40+ panels) to remove and this came from their VP! Imagine getting paid for not doing your job properly and then asking to be paid more to correct your initial mistake. That’s a great business model… I’m glad you brought back that fa

Lies and more lies. If you're thinking of getting solar, do it with another company; this one definitely won't do its job properly.

Went to speak with Craig about an issue I am having. He took the time to listen. We will see if it gets resolved.

I've been a Green certified Realtor and Solar Educator for over a decade. I've met many in the solar space and unfortunately, most are gone and out of business in just a few years. In Nevada, almost 8/10 are gone in 5 years or less which is why I was excited to find RG Electric. A client of mine called me a #SolarHero and made me a t-shirt because they said I helped them navigate the complicated solar process. I take that #SolarHero moniker seriously and won't endorse anyone I haven't thoroughly vetted. RG Electric is one I wholeheartedly endorse. They've got thousands of installations complet

We had our solar system installed in 2020 and have been very happy with it. Six years later, it’s still working and has significantly reduced our electric bill. Most months, we’re really only paying the connection fee, and the system generally covers our usage unless we have an unusual month or higher-than-normal usage. Overall, it’s been a great investment and we’re very pleased with the results. We did have to get a pigeon guard installed, I highly recommend that. Was recently contacted by them to get an evaluation done. Looking forward to that.

I LOVE HAVING SOLAR!!!! It’s the best business decision I have ever made to add value to my house and barely pay NV energy ANYTHING AT ALL ANYMORE! Chris, The Solar Guy was there from start to finish and picks up the phone every time I had so many questions! My Dad read over the entire contract (he has an engineering degree from Cornell university)… and said the deal was just SPECTACULAR! I love receiving my nv energy bill as a credit, not a bill!!! Thanks so much Chris I’m referring you to every one I know who owns a home!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“your energy goals. We also have financing available upon request. The Benefits Businesses…”
  • Years in business

“reputable electrical contractor with over 36 years of experience serving Southern…”
  • Licensed

“employees use electric vehicles. Our licensed electrical and building contractors…”

Its website also mentions veteran owned and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
