Solar works great backup battery would work if they installed an automatic transfer switch but they forgot and have said it's on back order now they won't answer the phone or return messages

My original 20 panels worked for one year! Now 16 still work 15 months of asking to have the 4 not reporting fixed, even after offering to pay for the broken parts--which are still under warranty.

We LOVE this company. Second Sun Solar helped us out with a battery backup. Darrell was/is knowledgeable enough to explain the why’s or why nots of what he recommended, and then he advised a few more things to match our budget and needs. We’ve called him multiple times with additional questions, and he’s always made the time for us. His workers were extremely polite and kind gentlemen. This company has sponsored community events, as they truly want to “give back.” I highly recommend Second Sun Solar!

Installing solar panels on our house was the smartest thing I’ve done. They have paid for themselves and we really enjoy knowing the solar panels basically eliminate any monthly utility bill. Darrell at second son solar has been the best to work with. He has answered all questions and offered help and solutions. Second son solar is a great company for solar panel and batteries. You won’t find any better resource!

Second Sun Solar has been pivotal in helping our water company. They installed a BEAUTIFUL, all-encompassing system that met our budget and our needs all while graciously jumping through a bunch of red, bureaucratic tape in dealing with our funding issues. What we have to show is a large solar array with high quality equipment that is expected to last a long time. Whenever we’ve had any issues with our solar system (usually our own user error), they’ve been out to help and get on top of things immediately. Darrell, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and I trust him, come rain or shine. I hi

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“success in solar installations ✅ Licensed and local, with hundreds of installs…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, family owned and years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
