Its one and two star share is 10 points below the typical installer in Lancaster. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 24 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I had an excellent experience with Uriel from Smart Choice Solar! He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly throughout the process. He replaced my inverter quickly and professionally, making sure everything was working properly before he left. What really impressed me was that he also went above and beyond by helping me get my warranty extended, which gave me extra peace of mind. It’s not often you find someone in solar who genuinely looks out for their customers. If you need solar service, I highly recommend Uriel. Outstanding customer service from start t

We are incredibly happy with our decision to work with Smart Choice Solar. This is our second solar system with them. We are glad to have such an amazing experience from our first encounter years ago to now on the purchase of our new home. The customer service throughout the years has always been great. Unlike many companies who disappear or stop answering the phone!

Working with Dorian and this team was refreshingly positive. They were ALWAYS attentive to our project, provided consistent and honest information, and helped us understand the process in a way that other solar companies couldn't. We like that Dorian was patient with us, didn't pressure us to sign anything until we were ready, and we could tell that he genuinely cares about helping his clients. highly recommended!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“worth it in California? + What financing options are available? + Popular Locations…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
