Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Mississippi. Across Mississippi, 7 of the 15 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 7 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

0% rated 1–2★85%

Each mark is one company we hold in Mississippi whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Alternatives Inc is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

My neighbor recommended Solar Alternatives after having a good experience, and I'm glad I listened. I wanted a solar system that could also charge a battery because we get power outages during hurricane season. The team answered every question patiently and designed a system that fit my home instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. The whole process felt organized, and everyone I dealt with was friendly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about switching to solar.

I bought a full solar system for my home after my electricity bills got too high. Solar Alternatives installed it in one day. The crew was careful with my roof and cleaned up perfectly. Three months later my bills are way down and the system works great.

I live in Biloxi, and after losing power during a couple of bad storms, I finally decided to look into solar with a battery backup. Solar Alternatives explained everything in simple terms and never pushed me into buying more than I needed. The installation crew showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and finished when they said they would. Since the system was installed, my electric bills have been much lower, and having backup power gives my family real peace of mind.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“power even when the grid is down. Since 2008, Solar Alternatives has proudly…”

  • Years in business

“about $1,480 per year on electricity. Over 25 years, Biloxi homeowners could pay around…”

  • Licensed

“members include electrical engineers, licensed electricians, certified roofers, and…”

Its website also mentions warranty and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
