Left the panels on my lawn instead on the concrete which damaged my grass. You have to do better protecting people's home.

Between Sunnova and Solar Guardian, it’s been a mess. After months of back and forth, Solar Guardian was going to send a crew out to remove what was left of my solar panels and repair or replace my garage roof that now leaks. The appt was finally made for today, 6/19/24. I let the rep from Solar Guardian know I wouldn’t be home and to have the crew do whatever they have to do, which I was told was to remove the remaining brackets and piping from the roof. At 9:09am, my mother in law called me. The two men knocked on my door and were asking what they needed to do and if we wanted the solar pane

Had my roof done and solar guardians removed and installed my solar panels. They put a bunch of scratches on 11 of my 30 panels. Left muddy foot prints on a couple. The owner came out and said my system was older and it would be hard to find replacement panels. He offered $600 for the damage panels. The panels are only 3 years old. Seems like they rushed the job. I wouldn’t be surprised if my roof eventually leaks where they put the pads to mount the panels. I recommend finding another company.

A Great experience. Made a stressful situation much less stressful

I love this company’s service. They were impecable with uninstalling then reinstalling the solar panels. They had touch up work a month after the process. They were responsive and attentive throughout. I highly recommend this company.

Our solar grid needed to be removed for roof repair. Solar Guardians pproved easy to work with through the entire process. When reinstalled, there was a question as to whether electric was being generated. Solar Guardians went above and beyond to ensure our grid was operational, and to attempt to work with the (now bankrupt) solar provider to correct our problems. I highly recommend this company for your grid needs.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Better Business Bureau

“has also been accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and holds licenses in NJ and…”

Its website also mentions warranty, years in business and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
