Its one and two star share is 3 points above the typical installer in New Jersey. Across New Jersey, 107 of the 237 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 131 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Woman that called me was obscenely pushy on the phone. If she had just let me call her back in an hour, maybe we would have gone with this company but it left SUCH a bad taste in my mouth that I do not want to proceed with a company that ignores my wishes right off the bat. Why would I expect the rest of the process to be any different?

Rude solicitation calls from an employee named Carl. Their contact email isn't even valid. Unprofessional and very scam suspicious!

DO NOT DO business with this company. They are sneaky and underhanded. They put solar panels on my house with only my husband's signature and not mine. Now we are divorcing and it is causing me to have to assume the $54,000 loan to pay them off. How do you put that kind of a loan on property without both homeowners signing it?

Power energy did a great job with installing panels on my roof. Installers were on time and clean. It was a pleasure to work with Troy and Daniel through the process. Thanks for the professional service!

Josh Gambino was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the entire process. I felt very taken care of. They are very professional at this company and yes, they save you a lot of money. I would like to thank Josh for helping me out through the process so thoroughly he answers his phone anytime I have a question no matter what.

Very friendly, informative, communicative, and respectful. They walked me through the whole process, kept me up to date how things are being scheduled and responded quickly with any questions that I have. Had roof and trees done by them as well and it was all seamlessly done. Great company. The owners, managers, and employees all very good people. Appreciate all the hard work by Emma who coordinated it all for me and kept in daily contact through the process. Top notch company. Highly recommend not just for solar but for roof and tree removal as well.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate, family owned, licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
