Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Florida. Across Florida, 371 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 7 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Mike Mazanowski with Solar King of America was outstanding with explaining the whole solar panel process and worked with us and Volt Solar Energy to provide a fantastic service. Our first month's electric bill went from over $325 to just over $50. Can't beat that! Thank you, sunny Florida!

I was impressed with the workmanship and the quality of both the Eko Roof and the solar PV system installed. Chris Coldiron was a great help at every step of process. I couldn't be happier with the results. The Eko Roof is less likely to sustain wind damage than the asphalt alternatives and the solar has greatly reduced what I pay for electricity. I would recommend King Solar of America to anyone looking into solar or looking for a solid attractive new roof.

Chris Coldiron has in depth knowledge about solar energy solutions for homeowners. He also understands utility rates and can consult with customers to educate them about the economic break-even analysis and benefits of solar energy and guide them through every step of the installation process.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions financing and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
