Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in New Jersey. Across New Jersey, 119 of the 237 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 247 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I had an extremely disappointing and concerning experience with SolarMe. Not only was the company highly disorganized throughout the entire process, but my trust was completely broken when my banking information was mishandled and ultimately compromised. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent and confusing. I was given conflicting information multiple times, and it often felt like no one internally was on the same page. Simple questions took far too long to get answered, and I frequently had to follow up just to get basic updates. The most serious issue, however, was the apparent f

The company was great and helpful during installation and setup but left me hanging several times when my system went down and needed service. The service engineer Andy even told me that since I’m covered under warranty and he’s not technically getting paid to fix my system he was putting me at the bottom of his list unless I wanted to sign a service agreement and pay out of pocket for the fix to have it done sooner. He was prioritizing the customers that were paying out of pocket for service calls. In the meantime my panels were not working for months, I had to pay an electric bill in the hei

High-pressure sales company, sending random texts to people in other parts of the country, pretending that the recipient asked for information. This is insanity.

happy with the roof and panels themselves, our monthly payment is only slightly more than our old electric bill (now we pay $8 a month service/connection fee only). But would have appreciated a heads up that we probably wanted to change our anniversary date with the electric company from Aug to a non heavy AC month (accrued credits with electric supplier expire on anniversary, and expiring in august meant we had net usage in Sept., we changed "anniversary" after a couple of years to Oct, so we are always well into net production when accrued credits expire). Also, were not notified until the d

One of the panels on my roof had stopped reporting, and Solar Me fixed it right up -- quickly and professionally.

This is hands down one of the best solar companies in the business. The owner, Bill is knowledgeable and super helpful. Andy who was my onsite manager was amazing, super responsive and accommodating. We recently had some issues with our powerwalls. Andy came by the next day and tested both batteries and was on the phone with Tesla for an over hour to get things right.

These guys fixed what no other solar service could figure out, amazing, thank you!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Free estimate

“Call or visit the Design Center for a free consultation. get a consultation 83 reviews 89…”

Its website also mentions warranty and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
