Its one and two star share is 15 points above the typical installer in Illinois. Across Illinois, 32 of the 183 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 30 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Horrible company. Tried cancelling many times and they are impossible to get ahold of. Seems other people have the same issue. Stay away!

Learn from my mistake. This company took over for Community Solar. Claim notices were sent out and we never received them. Our bill went from $200 to $800! While we are also getting a $600 bill from National Grid. We call and there is terrible customer service. Leave a message and wait days for a call back. Claim we are paying a $1/kw which is also a $1/credit. Takes them months to pay National Grid so now we have fees and disconnect notice from Grid. Can’t give us a break down and claim it’s “industry standard” yet we never had issues with Community Solar for 10+ years we had them. Yet when y

Very poor customer service. Administratively weak - you don’t know what you are paying. No back up or proof for the amounts billed. STAY AWAY.

Getting a 10% discount helps on the electric bill but its no great windfall. The companys billing practices are a point of contention, it took 3 months to get the double billing stopped when the Solar power bill was all ready applied to my normal utility provider so the 10% discount hardly makes up for the headache

I appreciated working with Annie Cho to get my solar credits restored. However, the issue of the bill discounts ($) from National Grid is still open as is, I assume, Solar Simplified's compensation.

We live in Boston and have been using Solar Simplified for a few month and were able to save a lot of money. Highly recommend.

I've had a great experience with Solar Simplified. Their team is knowledgeable, responsive, and makes the entire community solar enrollment process incredibly easy. The fact that customers can save around 10% on their electricity costs with no upfront investment or change to their utility service makes it an easy decision. They do an excellent job communicating throughout the process and making sure everything runs smoothly. I would definitely recommend Solar Simplified to anyone looking for a simple way to lower their energy bills.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
