Its one and two star share is 4 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 596 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 42 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Truly expected to rate solar link an honest 5 star, sadly I am getting no help with my questions or concerns related to our new system. I truly expected better.. I would love to have contact with Solar Link people to better understand the system we bought from them.

SolarLink did a great job with the installation and the Sales Rep Michelle is top notch. She kept me informed throughout the process and promptly answered all my questions. Any issue during or after the installation was resolved with Michelle's support.

Installation team was friendly, professional and did a great job - especially Will. They even followed up on adding some drywall (I thought was just going to remain open) to a hole above the inside panel box.

The team of installers were professional and courteous. They worked well as a team and completed the install as promised. They listened to my concerns and were able to follow the request of how the conduit would be coming down the side of my home. Very pleased with the outcome.

100% satisfaction with my experience with Solar Link. First and foremost, they did not try to oversell me. Their pricing is very competitive, and was the best quote that I received. Extremely responsive and on time from start to finish. They took care of all the permitting and approvals from the county. Thank you to everyone involved from operations through installation for your professionalism and attention to detail. Contacts include Michelle Mcuen and Paul Smith.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“our amazing 25 year bumper-to-bumper warranty through Certainteed. SolarLink will…”

  • Family owned

“Energy Construction Inc.! We are a family-owned and operated business with over 110…”

  • Years in business

“and operated business with over 110 years of experience in providing quality…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, insured and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
