Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the St Louis area. Across Missouri, 49 of the 114 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 153 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I spent been over $100,000 for 2 PowerWalls, 2 SPAN Panels, a SolarEdge inverter, dozens of panels and a number of other things. I then call them up to see if they can hook up a Tesla Wall Connector and Tesla Gateway and they said it was too small of a job. I need a company that can not pick and choose jobs. At the same time they wanted to bid on my farm installation that was between $150K- $250K. I went with another provider.

Be very careful using this company, they over promised a project and then had to shrink the size of the project making it not cost effective. They then refused to refund the down payment. Read their fine print and have a lawyer review your contract. We ultimately went with another company that was also cheaper. The communication with straight up solar is very lack luster as well. Doug wideman was who we dealt with. Avoid him.

One of their trucks passed me going over 100 miles an hour, almost hit me too. If they are that disrespectful on the road, then I definitely don't want them working for me!

Straight up solar did an excellent job of installation. We do wish that we had shipped a bit more and also would have liked to have had actual in person conversations with the sales persons. We have not had contact from the company since installation 3 years ago. Had one power outage including no power from the batteries and had no one in the company to contact for assistance

Had an inverter go south four years in. Straight Up got me a new inverter, back up and running. Very good communication, fair prices, no problems.

I had StraightUp Solar install solar panels back in 2019, providing about 20% of our electricity needs. The installation was done very well, and the energy generated has been roughly constant for all 7 years, and the electronic reporting has been excellent. Recently, I had the panels cleaned, though they were not that bad. The crew found a deteriorated connector and replaced all the connectors with new ones as part of the warranty from StraightUp Solar. We have been very happy to have the solar electricity! I only wish I had more space to put in more.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
