Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in Colorado. Across Colorado, 100 of the 216 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 48 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Was contacted by Mario early during the summer. Shopped around and decided I liked how he presented this company. They setup everything, got the plans together, the financing, the installation company. Installation finally happened in the beginning of September. Now I'm in a perpetual loop where I call Solcius every Friday to hear the same speech about them working with the inspector. I'm now making payments for a system that doesn't work and there is no end in sight. Called and left numerous messages for people at Sun Nerds. Including Chase and Mario. Never a returned call. Not a fan of unsolicited phone call and text claiming that I had asked for more information. However on good side, contact seems to have stopped after I asked to be removed from the list that I didn't ask to be on.

Our area gets frequent voltage fluctuations, so we added battery storage with the solar setup. The technicians explained backup usage clearly and tested everything before leaving. Last weekend the neighborhood lost power for hours, but our lights and fans kept running without interruption. Huge relief.

My solar panel installation went very smooth. The installer took care of everything. All I had to do was sign a few documents, one from financing, the installers contract, my HOA approval, engineering drawings, and my energy company. The project took 4 months from start to finish. They were vary professional. The best part is how much I am saving on my electric bill.

Our experience with Sun Nerds and Chase was excellent, from start to finish. They were expert in all areas, and very communicative with us all along the way. Every employee we worked with was a top-notch professional, and the installation crew was careful, efficient, and very respectful of us and our tenants. We cannot say enough good things about Chase and his team. We recommend them most highly!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“and help you compare the equipment, financing options, and installers. Our proven method…”
  • Warranty

“price A solar panel’s materials warranty (or equipment warranty) protects…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
