Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 139 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 46 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

We recently had solar panels installed on our roof, and SunBlue made the entire process completely seamless. From our initial consultation all the way through approval and final installation, the communication was flawless. Every single person we worked with was incredibly friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to go solar!

The whole team at SunBlue Energy was so helpful from start to finish. Our 17 panel system is working well and we love watching how much we are producing on the app. Everything moved forward smoothly and with ConEd rates rising, Solar makes even more sense. The only delays were permitting, which is determined by the city and they were on top of that process so it was stress free for us.

Good service. Our installation was finished about a week ago. Only waiting for the monitoring to be set up. Update: Our system has been up and working since the early summer of 2019. The system produces 8MW+ per year. We had some minor servicing done twice in that span which is practically nothing. I can't think of any system in my home that requires less maintenance. Both times Chris and his team were prompt to answer and resolve the problem without delay or headache. I've heard nightmare stories about other solar companies. In short, I would highly recommend these guys. I could not be happie

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“Why SunBlue Our team of experienced, licensed professionals provides…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
