Its one and two star share is 3 points above the typical installer in the Leander area. Across Texas, 320 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 22 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

0% rated 1–2★55%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Leander area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Texas Solar Guys is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Poor communication scam and harassing! Never called to say when they would be on site, never called to say there was any problems, never called period. Did not follow through with agreed quote and service. Now harassing about paying them for services never preformed. Shameful. Court order clearly shows property is mine. Quote was not adjusted to work performed. Communication from this company could've solved all this. However, they refuse to take accountability.

Super happy with Texas Solar Guys work at our home. There bidding was really straight forward and there were no surprises for additional costs later. They handled a take down and put up for a roofing replacement, and a solar upgrade at the same time. Sean was very patient answering questions and worked with me so I could pick the specific panels and inverters with simple updates to the bid for my requests. The crew was great getting my final 38 panel system in place including power panel updates required by code. I particularly appreciate Sean sending me directly to Enphase to install a new co

Fantastic experience with this company after a really poor experience with a different shady company. These guys go above and beyond and are knowledgeable and trustworthy.

These guys know what they are doing. Super professional and they helped me in a time I needed them most. I would highly recommend them, so look no more.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau, Yelp and ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
