Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Palm Desert. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 19 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Everyone at The big deal solar has been very helpful in transitioning us to their monitoring of our solar system since the Sunpower closure.

TBD Solar has genuinely impressed us with the projects at our home including a 42 panel system install with 2 batteries as well as a rehab of the solar pool heating system that was in the house when we purchased it recently. More than just good work, they also navigated some sticky permit issues due to an overzealous inspector and delivered on all promised work. From the start, Desiree worked with us on the initial assessment and proposal. Their pricing was fair for the amount of work to be done and beat all of the larger players by a good margin. She walked us through payment and financing op

I interviewed 4-5 different Solar companies, Big Deal was far superior in communication, value and service. The owner actually came out to inspect our home to best determine how out circuit panel could be best laid out to keep our electrical costs down. Then once we made the commitment to purchase their front office staff was amazing with a complete payment plan and production schedule. Then when the install team came the cleaned up after everyday on the job. The workmanship of the job was perfect from the roof all the way down to the electrical panels inside the garage. What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“has been in the Solar/HVAC Industry since 1996, she started as a dispatcher for a…”

  • Years in business

“to master the “Solar Industry”. For over 12 years, Larry has been the primary…”

Its website also mentions woman owned, free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Palm Desert is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
