Tiger Solar

Each mark is one company we hold in the Beltsville area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Tiger Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Tiger Solar is a great company and team to support your solar power needs and maintenance.

Tiger Solar (formerly Altenergy) was outstanding from start to finish for our small grid tied system. Their transparency and professionalism made the whole experience truly turn-key, and their price was by far the best of the four installers I called. No gimmicks, no upselling, just integrity and diligence to get the job done. They even regularly followed up in the months after to ensure my satisfaction. I hope to expand our system in the future and they will be the only company I call. I recommend them to anyone I can.

We had a 22Kw system added to our house this spring. after the usual OEM issues that Tiger was great at troubleshooting our system is up and cranking out the power and our VA Dom bills are cut by 90+%.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Warranty

“repair costs are based on applicable warranty coverage, the price of replacement…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
