Its one and two star share is 3 points above the typical installer in Texas. Across Texas, 314 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 101 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Jacob and team did a good job on our installation, but when scope changed and we offered to pay for additional time and materials they quite literally ghosted us. It's been months at this point, very unprofessional customer service after the fact.

The process started in March and we gave the thumbs up right away and they said it will be in and running in two weeks. Two weeks later they state they're waiting on Taylor Electric. Then I'm told we're waiting on city permits. I called Kyle at TE and he sent over the approval. I'm told March 27 at noon they'll be by to install. We waited and waited and ended up remotely opening the garage over 2 hours later. They dropped off the battery. Then after crickets for a month I reached out, April 22 I was told we'd be tied in this week. April 24 I ask if we have a definite date, I was then told anot

Do not waste your time and money here. They only half way fix problems. They say they offer money for referrals but I've been waiting six months for my check. Everytime I have asked about it I'm told the owner is out of the office. That will be the last time I ever refer them to anyone.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of the company. Would love to give them five stars but their phone doesn’t seem to work. Phone number ends in 1919 that I have. If the company Wants to respond to this that’s good. Any other responses for another number would be great.

Jacob Lopez with West Texas Solar has been outstanding from start to finish. Before I even purchased my system, he took the time to answer every question and thoroughly educate me so I felt confident in the decision. After the install, he continued to help with setup, guidance on energy providers, and choosing the best plan for my needs. What’s most impressive is that more than two years later, he’s still actively helping me stay on the most advantageous plan and offering power-management tips and suggestions to get the most out of my system. He’s always eager to answer questions and go the ex

I’ve been very happy that we went with West Texas Solar. They were helpful, timely, and honest from start to finish. My first full month on solar (middle of the summer) would normally have meant hundreds of dollars in electric bills - instead, I got a negative $40 bill, credited back to me. Great experience overall, and happy with my purchase!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
