Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Santa Barbara. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 21 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Though not every day in a row, my wife and I recently went through a solar panel upgrade to our home. Usually these construction projects have a variety of problems that tend to suck up decision making time from both sides. On this particular project, (supervised by the Action Energy owner), it was the smoothest of all of our projects (20+ across the last two decades). Wow! Really Smooth. The 1st part was joint participation between Action Energy and Action Roofing. Rather than install solar panel holding brackets into a roof with slightly less than 10 years of future usage, we decided to repl

Kyle and team were amazing! So easy to work with, friendly, professional, responsive, and accountable. I'm so glad I chose to go with a local company instead of the contractors Sunrun wanted us to use. We bought a house with leased solar panels from them and needed to redo our roof. After going through a logistical hell and back trying to figure out who was going to do the solar panel removal, I'm glad I went with my gut on picking them. They even had the best price! He addressed my concerns and catered to my needs. Was so easy to schedule and reschedule with due to the storm pushing our roofi

Huge thanks to Kirk and the team at Action Energy! I couldn’t be happier with my Tesla roof and the entire installation process. From the very beginning—when Kirk showed me several beautiful Tesla roof installations around Santa Barbara—to the final result, everything was handled with exceptional care. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were truly outstanding. With the addition of the two Tesla batteries I am now powering my home, pool, ánd car with clean energy. An overall fantastic experience from start to finish—I highly recommend them!

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
