Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Santa Barbara. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Santa Barbara whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Shine SB is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I would like to share my review of Solar Shine SB. While cleaning my yard a few days ago, I noticed my solar panels were filthy. I contacted Solar Shine SB through their Website and was able to get an online quote in minutes. The price was reasonable and I scheduled an appointment and it was confirmed in minutes. They arrived promptly on time neatly dressed, they introduced themselves and began working. They worked quickly and cleanly, cleaned up, and notified me the job was done. They provided me with before (filthy) and after (sparkling clean) photos. It was a seamless and flawless experienc

Tried Solar Shine SB for the first time on my home ground system and two rental rooftop systems. They were very responsive and communicative; priced fairly; and did an excellent job. My panels were not super dirty but the before and after difference was surprising. I immediately noticed a 10% increase in production the same day. Will probably be even more for a full day. Update: 15% increase in electricity production.

Carson and Spencer reached out proactively. They scheduled me in a few days after we first spoke and did a great job inspecting and cleaning our solar panels. They did it quickly and cleaned up after themselves. Seamless experience, highly recommend Solar Shine SB!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate, insured and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Santa Barbara is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
