Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Roanoke area. Across Virginia, 56 of the 118 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 12 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Roanoke area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Advanced Roofing & Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

If you’re looking into solar, I would strongly encourage you to consider working with a local company like this one. What stands out to me most is their integrity and their depth of knowledge. They take the time to truly educate you so you understand what you’re investing in, rather than just trying to make a quick sale. If you value working with people who truly care and take pride in what they do, this is a company I would absolutely recommend

Advanced Roofing & Solar did a fantastic job with the entire scope of our project! Jonathan Young walked me through all the steps and then executed excellent on every step of the way. The communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. After the project was complete, the team took time to educate me and explain the system. I never felt rushed and answered all of my questions and made any adjustments needed. Jonathan and his team continue to monitor and check in and are quick to respond to any tweaks that the system may have from time to time. This was a completely "Off the Grid" s

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Family owned

“Advanced Roofing & Solar is a family-owned company based in Troutville,…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
