Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in the Roanoke area. Across Virginia, 52 of the 118 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 86 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in the Roanoke area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★30%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Roanoke area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Baseline Solar Solutions is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

We contacted several companies, and were impressed by Baseline. It was very clear that they understood the process and their equipment. We appreciate that they are a local company that has been around for quite a long time. The installation process was great. Everyone on the team was professional and committed to providing high quality work. The system looks amazing and works perfectly. We are enjoying the abundant energy that comes from the sun and looking forward to many years of substantial savings.

Dwayne and Andrew and the entire crew at Baseline Solar are FABULOUS!! I would highly recommend this company. They are honest, detail oriented, and work hard in the most miserable conditions without complaint. I have had solar panels since 2014 but never had a generator. An enormous Propane tank was NOT something I desired in my backyard, or a noisy generator, so I began a search for a Solar Panel battery backup. I am thrilled to have my installation complete and I no longer dread the power outages. My photos will not upload unfortunately but the entire system is very neat both inside and out

We’ve collaborated on numerous solar projects together and their team consistently delivers. They move quickly, stay organized, and handle challenges proactively. It’s clear they care about quality and customer experience. Highly recommend working with them.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“life. Since 2026, we are officially licensed in West Virginia as well and can help…”

Its website also mentions established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, X, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
