Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Anchorage. Across Alaska, 10 of the 15 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 23 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Anchorage whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Alaska Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

5mo's from start to finish, first est was incorrect, panels got swapped with another brand, little to no communication with no follow up. Update- After reading my review the owner reached out to talk. Bottom line a lot of what happened was out of Alaska Solars control. However, communication was not. Reviewers should know that Ben was receptive to feedback and sounded like he would be implementing changes to improve the process.

So in Oct 2024 I got my Solar, and in Dec 2025 Alaska Solar installed a 30 kwh Franklin battery backup system. Again, I would recommend Alaska Solar and the Franklin battery system. Alaska Solar again was great and installation superb. I got to turn on my solar panels on 2 Oct 2024, and I do not regret that I went with Alaska Solar. Their staff was super, and their installation from the solar panels, meter base being moved, and working with CEA to move my overhead power line to my house to underground was uneventful. I would highly recommend going to Alaska Solar if your thinking going solar.

We had a great experience with Alaska Solar; from our first discussions in 2024 to the completed installation this spring, we found them to provide excellent communication and professional advice.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
