Its one and two star share is 7 points above the typical installer in Louisville. Across Kentucky, 12 of the 37 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 144 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Avoid using this company at all cost. They were previously named Solar is Freedom and filed bankruptcy in order to not have to service the solar systems that they installed. They do not operate in good faith and have left a lot of people in bad positions

From the first call the experienced and helpful staff guided us through the process taking time to answer all of our questions. We never felt pressured to commit to anything. They kept us up to date through the entire process and were always easy to get ahold of if we had any further questions. I can't recommend this company highly enough! Andrew was super helpful. Solar is freedom really came through for us! Edit: our system was installed almost 3 years ago and we finally needed service as our panels are not producing regularly. Unfortunately the company owner has closed the company and filed

This company used to be called Solar is Freedom. They laid off all of their staff and filed for bankruptcy, leaving all of their customers hanging. We financed our panels and are still paying them off, but there is no company to call for service. The 25-year warranty that we paid for is trash now. Avoid at all costs.

Jaylen Jones and her team took great care of us. Made the transition easy and SO nice to have a negative energy bill instead of a $400 bill!

Just got my installation finished! The process was very professional— Patrick and Nicole were both very easy to reach and responsive. Service people were very courteous and professional, loan terms were great, and there was minimal hassle on my part. Would definitely recommend!

Very organized and professional from beginning to end. No surprise costs and team adapted as needed. Alex Hentschel quickly met with us after contacting and walked us through presentation. Matthew White was in constant contact and kept up with project and Duke Energy from beginning to end. Bryson did a lot of the electrical work and did a quality job and explained everything and was patient with my questions. This is a legit quality company that does what they say they will do and takes full accountability and action to deliver. Couldn’t be happier with them.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
