It pains me to write this review, but I think prospective buyers need to know…. I had a working solar system that consistently produced 6.3KW peak power, but I needed to set up zero export to comply with my insurance. Cape fear sold me a dual battery (EnPhase 5p) with special EnPhase controllers over a year and a half ago and it still doesn’t work. We get maybe 3 kw peak production and it’s very uneven and unpredictable. One of the two batteries stopped working 6 weeks ago and nobody has even looked at it yet. The salesperson and install teams were very nice, but the support team has said the

I have been asking for someone to come out and check my system for months to no avail. I have received one email stating that the original manufacturer went out of business. My warranty is with Cape Fear. Please help.

I had a very disappointing experience with Cape Fear Solar. After putting down a 10% deposit, I was told I’d be refunded due to installation issues. Weeks later, I’m still waiting for my money. I was told the refund had been processed, but I’ve received no confirmation, no tracking information, and no update of any kind other than asking me to remove my review of the company after seeing the honest feedback I provided. Communication throughout this entire process has been consistently poor. I initially reached out in September 2024 with no response, followed up in January and again in February

Start off with the negatives first-Main complaint is the communication- they choose to just constantly use email versus phone and text. So as the project moves forward that is their primary method to update you and it gets really annoying. I would miss questions or updates cause I’m not always able to just constantly look at my emails. There was not a walk through / tutorials once they were done- they just finish and leave so I used YouTube to figure it all out with solar and a battery backup. I had a conflict over the installation being pushed ahead of schedule (by Tesla) that I was not ready

Cape Fear Energy Systems is amazing! Their communication was excellent from start to finish. I had to reschedule a few times because of my work schedule, and they were incredibly understanding and accommodating. The crew that came to my house this morning was professional, friendly, and very efficient. They did an outstanding job! A big shoutout to Mark for making the entire process smooth and stress-free. His professionalism, communication, and customer service were top-notch. Thank you all so much for making the process so easy. I’ll definitely be referring more people your way! If you’re co

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
