Beware of this company, they come to your door offer this amazing service and supplement to your electric bill. The panels go up quick and.. that’s where the trouble starts. You quickly realize they aren’t generating near enough to help with your now slightly lowered electric bill and now huge solar panel payment. You call and email this company that they are not working the way they said they would. They give you the run around and offer no help and tell you that “well you signed a contract that said they wouldn’t eliminate your electric bill”. You complain on the BBB and instead of calling y

Total sham.. your power bill will never be “zero” as they say. Communication is terrible and the whole process is frustrating and not worth it.

Everything done by Carolina Connections was professional and efficient. From the email correspondence, to the consultation, to the installment. We can’t wait for our solar panels to be live so we can provide our own energy. If you’re thinking about getting solar panels, and your home qualifies, don’t hesitate to contact Carolina Connections!

Eric was a hoot from the git go and made whole project a pleasure. The installation crew showed up at 7:00 am on a freezing-cold morning full of energy and big smiles. I immediately gave them each a hot cup of really good coffee, and went back inside the house. 6 hours later they rang the front doorbell,. showed me the results and bid me a good day. I haven't been informed that the meter has been changed over, but if you have informed BEMC of the solar panel installation, I will contact them tomorrow. Many thanks for our solar energy and overall pleasantness. MH.

Eric did a fantastic job explaining the benefits of solar energy and in particular Carolina Connections. The work crew were great, very professional and unbelievably fast and efficient. I would recommend this company very highly if you are considering solar energy for your home.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Family owned

“in 1991, Carolina Connections is a family owned southern company serving residential…”

  • Licensed

“thousands of dollars by going Solar. Licensed & Insured We are official, BBB…”

Its website also mentions financing and insured, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
