Each mark is one company we hold in the Naperville area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Certasun is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

  Certasun responded my questions very quick before I signed the contract for the EV charger station installation. After I signed the contract, everything became very slow. I asked if they can come earlier to do the site assessment before June 17th since I will travel out of town, but they just said it is fully booked. I then scheduled the available time on July 7th, and the person during site assessment mentioned the project is straightforward and only needs 1-2 weeks for the drawing. Now it has been more than a month after the site assessment on July 7th and they just prepared the permit appli

  The only thing good I can say about Certasun is the system works well and the installation looks very clean. As a company, they are terrible to deal with. Extremely poor communication the entire way, always fails to deliver on promised dates, and sold a “bridge loan” program that ended up being useless as I will not receive any rebates before my loan is due, making that a waste of money. Oh also it took them several months to get my system working due to an installation error and they were too busy to come fix it.

  I stand corrected. Certasun does a great job on the front end. Quality equipment, professional installation. On the back end they are horrible. A few days after they completed the job I was in my basement and discovered that they had run an electrical conduit line through the air from one end of my basement to the other. I contacted them many, many times (email and phone). I got no response for weeks and then someone did call but has not offered a solution. I also had to change my wifi network. The way to reconnect to wifi is to open up the sealed outside electrical panel and change their box.

  Things started out well, with proactive communication and the company taking the lead on getting us through the process; they were even able to make installation happen mere days after our permits were approved. As much as we loved the quick turnaround, though, things got sloppy once crews got on site--holes in wall, carpets stained, cut wires, trash strewn over our property--and it became difficult to get timely responses from the Certasun office in order to resolve these issues. System works fine; we haven't needed the company since the initial slip-ups.

  Certasun completed our solar/battery (Franklin) install this winter and while the process was not 100% smooth... I think the company does a great job. The sales process was super smooth and frankly their installs look the best, we got competing offers and drove around to look at the work companies had completed in our neighborhood, Certasun stood out as clean and neat plus they were the most open to keeping all of the galvanized steel tubing out of sight. The prep/design work was fine, we went back and forth on the battery placement a lot but ended up putting it in our garage to keep everythin

  I spent months researching and hearing proposals from top 6 vendors in my area. Certasun eventually rose to the top of my short list, and they did not disappoint. Holly, the project manager and Dan G. were always there to answer any questions, and are still there to support me, months after installation and months after the system is paid for. They were able to constuct a fantastic system, while also meeting my request to boycott Tesla products.The cream always rises. these guys are the best.
