Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in California. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 18 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around August 2025 · the company replied

When I got a new roof, I had to replace my old solar pool heater. A colleague recommended Codella Solar, and I'm so glad they did! Mr. Codella arrived on time, took measurements, ran calculations, and provided me with an estimate. A few weeks later, he and his crew completed the installation. The job was done perfectly, and now my pool can reach the perfect temperature whenever I want. I'm thrilled with the service and the quality of the materials. Highly recommend!

Aharon Codella is the most experienced and knowledgeable professional I will ever know in the residential solar industry. Even though I haven't yet had the pleasure of doing business with him, he openly shared his expertise over an hour-long call to save me money and spare me headache. He takes a genuine interest in the making sure consumers like me don't get hassled by the utility company, install the highest-quality materials, and enjoy the savings and satisfaction that come with a rooftop solar panel array.

Pleasure to deal with these guys. Thanks, Aharon!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“been family owned and operated for over 30 years. Our Focus on Quality of Work and…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and family owned, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
