Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in California. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 12 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Wayne and Deborah were extremely knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend them!

I have used The Solar Contractor to do the solar on two homes, including our own. I first checked with three contractors. All came well recommended and were in the same ball park cost-wise. I went with Wayne and Deborah mostly because of their experience and they had the most hands-on approach. Literally. Wayne was on the job either doing the work himself or personally supervising the crew. Deborah, and Wayne, were at the ready to promptly answer any of our questions about the system or the app. Planning beforehand to get the system we needed was a big help. And the follow-up after installatio

I’ve known Wayne and Deborah for a long time, and when they expanded their business to include solar energy, I knew I wanted to work with them. I couldn’t be happier with their work and the way they helped my husband and me install solar in our new home. They’ve continued to support us as we’ve learned the system and worked toward becoming completely off the grid. I appreciate their attention to detail and the personal touch that comes from being a small, homegrown company. Their clients truly matter to them—and that means a lot to me. - Dan & Olga Singer

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Family owned

“other surrounding areas. As a local, family-owned solar company, we provide personal…”

  • Established

“Contractor Renewable energy experts since 2003. New in 2026 — solar with up to 40%…”

  • Years in business

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
