Its one and two star share is 6 points below the typical installer in the Canoga Park area. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I highly recommend CPG Solar. I have been a customer for the past six years and could not be happier with the services I have received. Cesar has always been professional reliable and easy to reach whenever I have questions or concerns about my solar panels or roofing. Cesar is always available to help, He truly cares about his customers .

I originally found CPG Solar through EnergySage. I was building a new, electric only main and guest house which both required their own solar units as part of the permit. From the initial interview with Michael (their salesman) through the work and final permitting with Cesar and his team, the entire process went as smooth as possible. Their pricing was ultra competitive and they worked with me as several construction (non-solar related) issues adjusted their timelines. They were also very responsive for the various questions I had about both the system and how to operate the app. A year later

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“been providing exceptional services since 2008. We are one of few solar contractors…”

  • Licensed

“few solar contractors that are also a licensed roofing company. We are C-39, C-46…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, 24/7 availability and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
