Its one and two star share is 70 points above the typical installer in Tennessee. Across Tennessee, 2 of the 53 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 11 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Tennessee, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★100%

Each mark is one company we hold in Tennessee whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Design 1 Solar Group Knoxville is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

They installed my $60k system in 2020 and I still have no idea if its working and they will stopped responding to my emails and calls. The water heater never worked, they Grossly oversold me on panels .. double the amount that can even push through my panel. DO YOUR RESEARCH, THEY WILL TAKE YOU FOR ALL THEY CAN! Also, they destroyed my gutters and never fixed them, they were hanging off my house until I repaired them.

I feel after reviewing other reviews from customers I must place my own, in the year since owning the panels yes we have seen a small difference, but not what they told us it would be. Not only was there a significant difference in the savings, we were told and promised by our sales rep that the company would come out and remove the panels for free for us to have our roof repaired, and reinstall them of no charge, now they are claiming they want 8k from us to remove and install the panels. When they didn't they come out on the date they told us they would be out we started calling them to find

At first Josh with Design OneSolar wanted to help me get my solar panels on line with Sevier County Electric, but now I can’t reach him. After a month of calling everyday and no response I have to believe this company is like the company that installed the system Solar Alliance and has gone out of business. Bad way to do business

We had the greatest experience with “Solar Steve.” Extremely kind and informative. Worked with us through any questions we had about the process. Seemed like a big jump for us at first but Steve reassured us in many ways how easy the entire process would be. He didnt seem like a salesman. It just seemed like he wanted us to feel comfortable through the process since it felt overwhelming to think we could afford this. Overall, we felt like we were treated with care and kindness and have already referred “Solar Steve” to many of our friends and family. Cant wait for the process to begin.

Steve came to our house and thoroughly explained how solar works. She was amazing at no given time that I feel like he was being pushy. He was very informative very courteous and very professional! Is spoken to many companies regarding solar and no one gave us as much information as him!

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
