Discount Solar

Each mark is one company we hold in Quartzsite whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Discount Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Bought a Victron MPPT controller they have a note on their shell saying it’s cheaper than Amazon. Purchased that and a converter charger paid cash got back to the RV and looked on Amazon. Amazon was $30 cheaper For the same PPT controller. Went to install the converter it did not fit they told me when I bought the converter cause I was concerned that I could bring it back for a refund. Took it back in and only got a partial refund. Will never waste my time energy or money there again.

Spoke at length with Dan regarding an 800 W system on our rig. Agreed on general design. He was going to text me with an estimate "in about an hour". We never heard from him again. Their competitor down the road earned our business and did a great job on the install.

Spoke with Dan at length about 800W solar system. We agreed on general design. He was to text me an estimate "within the hour". Never heard from him again. System was installed by a competitor the next day. Apparently a $5000 sale was not important enough.

On January 5, Jesse, Alejandro, Matt and Dakota removed the Outback inverter from my Born Free motor coach and installed a new Xantrex. It was a difficult procedure, but, they did a good job in the removal and installation. They were courteous and helpful.

Craig and his associates installed a complete solar package for me. Top notch installation and I feel at a very fair price. I recommend them for any of your solar needs. 5 Stars

Last week I dropped by Discount Solar to have a solar system installed on our new RV trailer. We had three 200w panels added to the factory installed 200w panel giving us 800w on the roof. Also added we're a Victron 60a controller, 2000w continuous/4000w peak Xantrex inverter-charger and two 100a LifeBlue LiFePo batteries. Craig, the owner, and all employees were very professional and got me in and out quickly. The installation of all components was done in a clean and tidy manner. This is the second RV they've done a solar installation for me and I recommend them highly

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Established

“Solar has been in the solar business since 1993. We have sold and installed over…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, bonded, insured and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• Google also lists this company under electrical, heating and cooling, optometrist, roofing and tutoring. A company that does both roofing and solar can handle the roof work a panel install often needs.
• It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
