Its one and two star share is 4 points below the typical installer in Madison. Across Wisconsin, 28 of the 58 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 159 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Madison whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Drews Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around August 2026

Drews Solar made the whole process easy. They took time to answer every question, clearly know their stuff when it comes to product quality, and treated our property with respect throughout. The finished install looks sharp and clean — exactly what you’d want on your home. They ensured the array was working and helped with setting up the application for us.

We are so impressed with the communication, installation, and the professionalism of the Drew Solar team! Highly recommend!!!

We have gone with Drews for two solar installations, and both times the experience has exceeded our expectations. We had our first system installed in 2024, then again this year after moving to a new home. The entire process could not be easier with Michael and Maria taking care of everything along the way. Both times our installations were complete at or before the estimated timeframe, on budget, and have met or exceeded the quoted energy generation targets. Drews is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with and would recommend them to anyone.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Family owned

“solar, done right. Locally owned and family run, crafting the highest quality solar…”

  • Years in business

“Michael’s journey with solar began over 15 years ago after earning a degree in…”

  • Licensed

“things right the first time. As a licensed master electrician, he personally…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, established and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
