Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 139 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 4 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

What reviewers said

Being a member of the McCain Oil Group the last several years has saved my family time and money. Not only do we save on the price of oil, service contracts to protect my family are always discounted as well. And the best part? It is free to join the McCain Oil Group! Let Ed do all of the work for you. No hassle, and it's not just oil, typically discounts are available for propane and kerosene as well.

Ed is the only person that I would consider for our Solar Energy needs, he works tirelessly to make sure you're satisfied. He also takes the time to make sure you understand everything "solar."

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Wappingers Falls is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
