Its one and two star share is 8 points above the typical installer in Pennsylvania. Across Pennsylvania, 32 of the 146 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 89 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I had a Fortress Power battery back up system installed in June of 2025. The installers left no information and have no education on the system. I wa told to call Fortress Power. Between multiple emails and multiple phone calls my wife was told we had to update the system ourselves....... no education no nothing. I spoke with some jackass today and was told Fortress does nothing and we need to have the installers do everything. Even though the person my wife spoke said that Fortress is the ones that need to up date the system (1st tech support she spoke with) the 2nd tech told her we had to do

COMPLETE DISASTER. BEWARE! $60,000 MISTAKE! Background: I have two ENVY True 12kW inverters in parallel, and two 18.5kwh eVault Max batteries. Total cost ~$60k. See photos. There are 5 areas where Fortress Power has failed and continues to fail miserably. 1.) There is basically no product or technical support - TECH SUPPORT WILL NOT RESPOND TO SERVICE TICKETS!!! 2.) The App is so marginally functional you may as well assume there is no App or online monitoring 3.) The inverters and batteries don't have any semblance of a user manual - the only thing you have to go on is a technical installatio

Where to start?!?! I had a battery back up and inverter installed that was sold to me with the idea that it would withstand winters and be able to be located outside. The first winter I had it, the batteries stopped working. I was told by Caroline from fortress that they had under estimated the effect of the cold, but had a solution (heaters and a blanket). They came out and placed some duct taped heaters on the batteries and put a cheap tarp over the battery. Then something went wrong with their router, so someone else came out and stretched a indoor house hold extension cable across my ac un

Unreliable products, terrible tech support, and overall frustrating user experience. As someone working in alternative energy, the only two times I’ve seen their products implemented, they were a total dumpster fire. Thankfully not literally. Just got told by their support agent that he “sent me the documents”. I would not have waited on hold for 45 minutes to be given the same useless documentation that made me resort to calling in the first place. Edit - it appears that steps are being taken to improve the user experience. Their US service manager reached out after my latest issue to resolve

The technical support I received was excellent. Omri helped me and resolved all my issues. Thank you so much to the team!

I was a dummy and uploaded the wrong firmware to a battery! Luckily Saul and Gary could un-brick the battery in a jiffy. Painless process and tech support are knowledgeable and polite!

In the solar industry, a product's value to an installer directly correlates with the quality of its tech support. Saul and Omri proved that to me yesterday when they took me from having literally zero knowledge about a legacy product (8+ years old) to knowing basically exactly how it works. I was tremendously impressed with their patience, their ability to understand exactly where I was in the troubleshooting process, and their ability to say "hold on, let me get a 100% answer on this", the most valuable and rare thing you can hear from any tech support. What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • 24/7 availability

“come up. Wish I had him on speed dial 24/7. Great overall product and team,…”

Its website also mentions warranty, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
