Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Montana. Across Montana, 12 of the 36 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 27 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in Montana, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★55%

Each mark is one company we hold in Montana whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Freedom Solutions is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Freedom Solutions sent two young men, Bobby and Sean to evaluate our roof. After 30 years it was beginning to look like it needs attention. They gave us the cost-effective option of roof spray coating. Which, in our situation makes good sense. They were friendly, kind, answered all of our questions, and certainly made us feel glad to do business with them. We recommend Freedom Solutions for all your roofing and solar projects. They’re the best!

I hired Freedom Energy to install a home generator at my house. Aiden and 2 other great guys did a wonderful job. No clean up messes left behind. Very polite young men. I would highly recommend Freedom Energy. Heather, that works in the office is also very helpful. Denise Thibodo

These guys were all great to work with. Every member of the team was kind and efficient while they were here. We are first time home owners and really appreciated that they explained what was happening in a way we could understand. I would highly recommend them for all of your needs.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Insured

“on all services Licensed & insured 25-year performance guarantee Free…”

  • Licensed

“Financing available on all services Licensed & insured 25-year performance…”

Its website also mentions financing and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under electrical and flooring.
  • It is also reviewed on Angi. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
