Its one and two star share is 5 points above the typical installer in Mesa. Across Arizona, 62 of the 269 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 95 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in Mesa, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in Mesa whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. High Desert Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

This company salesman will lie consistently to sell you bs. I have had their solar 2022 and I have had a bill consistently and paying a higher monthly payment than I initially started with. They lied and said I would get back a refund from IRS 13k and put it towards my loan to keep the payment at 162 a month. Well I have a payment of 212 plus my monthly bill. They hired a roof company and solar installer my roof leaks and the installer went out of business. Im sure this was the plan because my whole contract was not done by them they put it all under the solar installer the roof and the panels

Terrible company with workers who doesn’t know how to read no soliciting signs. Knocking on doors with clear signs and then being rude when we get irritated. Even if I was interested in solid definitely wouldn’t go with a company with rude staff.

High Desert Energy grossly misrepresented their system when they sold it to us. They told us our power company would credit us at a 1:1 ratio for every KWh generated versus what we used. That was a bald-faced lie. We get charged $0.097 per KWh, but we only get a credit of $0.04 per KWh, less than half. At that point, the math did not make sense for solar "saving us money." The power company also charged us $150 for installing a new meter to handle the reverse power flow, which we were not advised of. The original sales rep, George, was unresponsive for weeks and then finally replied that he wo

Working with High Desert Energy was a great experience. Ashley was responsive and helpful, and the installation crew was top-notch. They even went the extra mile to match the conduits to my home’s color. They were also the most affordable!

I’m a tough customer seeking high quality at a low price. Out of six quotes, High Desert Energy offered the most reasonable price and excellent phone service. Installation was faster than promised, and they promptly replaced a faulty panel at no charge. My system now generates 28–38 kWh/day, as expected. Top-quality Solar Panel Installation.

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
