Its one and two star share is 6 points above the typical installer in Philadelphia. Across Pennsylvania, 34 of the 146 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 15 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Philadelphia whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Imperium Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Sent a “techs” without ID, uniform or any credentials, then blamed us for not allowing entry. Another shifty solar company to add to the others.

My parents were nervous about getting solar because they thought the process would be confusing, but the staff handled everything calmly and professionally. They explained the tax credit paperwork step by step and even printed copies for my dad because he doesn’t like digital forms. Installation day was surprisingly smooth considering how much equipment was involved. One of the workers introduced himself to my mother every morning before getting started, which she appreciated more than you’d think. We did have one appointment rescheduled because of heavy rain, but communication stayed clear th

We are grateful for Imperium Solar. They helped us with our solar panel issues after our company went out of business in our area. They are a great company to work with. Very efficient and dependable on getting our solar panels producing energy again. Thank you to the leader & service techs who helped us.

After having 3 prior companies out to assess my non functioning solar without resolution Imperium was assigned. They acted quickly, even notifying me on a holiday as to when they would be out to resolve my issue. Within 5 minutes of meeting Nick the electrician, I knew he was highly qualified. He found numerous critical issues with my solar installation and my solar was up and running again in no time. Te and Catherine in office were fantastic in communicating with loan co to get authorization for repair, i always knew they had my back. I can't say enough about Nick's work ethic and efficiency

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Woman owned

“in Solar O&M Proud to be the only Woman Owned and Operated leader in solar…”
  • Established

“solve the projects others can't. Since 2019, its team has installed, serviced,…”

Its website also mentions licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
