Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Alexandria area. Across Virginia, 28 of the 118 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 53 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Their sales tactics are downright frightening, full of aggressive, strong-arm threats that you must act now, pay a deposit now, schedule a follow-up now, etc., or all good freebies will end. This all happened via Google Meet on 11-12 August 2026 and subsequently on EnergySage. On 15 August, I again tried to reconnect but found the same experience. Via Energy Sage, I sent them a VERY DETAILED list of reasonable requirements, yet they again said I could not proceed unless I contacted their sales rep to answer questions. When I again asked what questions were remaining, they repeated that I essen

I gave them a 5 star review. Only because we felt pressured by Calvin Davila to do so because he said he never had a bad review. He is good at what he does, but we don't like liars. It has been a hot mess since he came out. He's a fast talker and what he explain and actually having to print out contract were two different things. He made promises he could not keep. Ion solar is a rip off. The install was a disaster, corporate are unhelpful and if your lucky enough to get a return call , they are very unprofessional. So I would give a zero star review if able. If I could do it again I would nev

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - I am a real-estate investor and multiple homes owner, and all of the properties I work with have solar panels. I am not new to the process, experience, or services rendered when it comes to solar panels. Working with this company has been the worst experience I have had to deal with, ever. They don't understand basic transactions with the electric company; they don't know how to smoothly transfer ownership from one party to another during a sales process; and to top it all off, they work extremely slow and are horrible with communication with their customers leaving you wo

I had a great experience with Lumina. Kurt Bradshaw was incredibly helpful with making sure we got the right solar setup to meet our needs. He communicated clearly throughout the whole purchasing and setup process, answering any questions my wife or I had quickly and transparently. Everyone on the team kept things moving along at each step from permits to applications, ensuring a timely and smooth installation. The system has been performing as expected since the install, and I’m happy to know I’ve got a solid warranty with a reputable company behind it.

We contracted with a different solar company and had issues from the beginning. Terminated our contract and started shopping again. We were very impressed with Lumina. They handled the project from start to finish and kept us informed every step of the way. Very professional, friendly, great customer service. They alleviated a lot of the fears created by the previous solar company. From the beginning Courtney helped us through the process of getting started, what to expect, introductions to different team members such as Dan our project manager, Mike who was the supervisor of our installation

The process of purchasing and having solar panels installed by Lumina was a terrific experience, and I am very happy I chose Lumina Solar for the project. Ali did a great job managing the project from beginning to end, and Tyler led a professional team that installed our panels exactly as expected. Both Ali and Tyler took the time to explain the system to me and to let me know what to expect with the remaining steps in the process. The process was very smooth, all schedules were met, and we now have a system that is performing extremely well. I highly recommend Lumina Solar to anyone seeking t

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions financing, insured and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
