Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in Portland. Across Maine, 18 of the 43 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 27 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in Portland, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in Portland whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Maine Community Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Will not stop harassing our house for some stupid solar panels.

Dawson came to my door and was very patient in explaining the Solar program to me. He has a lot of knowledge about the program and was very good at explaining it to me. He did a very good job at guiding me and enrolling me through the process. I am anticipating some savings the program. I later ended up cancelling the program because payment was not what I was told. I was told that I would be billed separately with a paper bill instead it was paid by an automatic withdrawal. Removal from the company was very difficult.

I am a solar farm customer and do not recommend it. The generation companies over bank generation which you pay for and then those generation credits are lost as expired credits. In a 12 month period credits were built up in 9 of 12 months. Two years ago I had a loss worth $500 which I was reimbursed for. I sent them my usage bills covering a 12 month period and then periodically sent bills and they continued to build credits resulting in a loss again. You have no control over the process so any savings are lost in what is basically fraud. Responding to your comments. I have worked with Power

Community Solar’s representatives, especially Sophia Diaz, were very knowledgeable and helpful to me from my first inquiry to the finalization of 4 accounts. I would highly recommend Community Solar!

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
